| Subject: Iceblade's *Spirit Sword* Shiranui deck Wed May 04, 2016 3:16 am | |
| Hello everyone and this is my *Spirit Sword* deck that i use in most of my games as of April 2016. The deck itself is the Shiranui Arch-type, which works to use effects when banished from the graveyard and retrieve cards the same way through Shiranui Katanagami and Different Dimension Burial. This deck is for players who like a refined enghine that brings back almost everything you throw at the oponent through Mezuki and Uni-Zombie, as well as setting up some pretty good synchro summons from the grave. At the moment, i do not have a planned out side deck, as i feel the deck itself still needs refinement at its core, but thats not to say that in the future i won't find a sidedeck that works that to benefit the deck in a match Vs Meta. Strengths:
- Uni-Zombie and Mezuki make the deck's engine constantly flow with energy per move, set up Mezuki as a defence monster in the opening hand or get Uni-Zombie to grab Mezuki to bounce back a zombie to the field.
- Zombie Master is the deck's secondary engine of graveyard play. Simply have Mezuki or a Shiranui in the grave and special summon a monster directly from your hand that is zombie type, for a graceful xyz summon.
- Got a problem with Dark Law? No sweat! using Shiranui Spirit master takes out almost everything on the field. Use Spirit master in combo's with Shiranui Style: Swallow Sword and Shiranui Ikusagami to power up and eliminate your opponent's field.
Weakness:
- If you find that all of your engine (Mezuki and Uni-Zombie are removed from play), then you'll have a hard time trying to get back from a problem of going at the opponent or simply not paying attention to your graveyard.
- The Arch-type itself is still undergoing expansion much like Super Quantum layers, good Arch-type, but not enough to withstand a weaponized Blue Eyes deck with previous Gen support like Blue eyes Maiden along with different flavours of her, to the new Monarchs of Light and Darkness with previous Gen Monarch support cards.
- Sometimes its hard to tell the rulings for Spiritmaster when retrieving a Shiranui Synchro from the grave, as i have found that sometimes he can get back Katanagami in a turn or won't, most likely due to the conditions of the previous turn.
Summary brief: Shiranui have rarely been seen in the current plays compared to Blue eyes (which seems rampant right now) or Monarchs. However, Shiranui is well worth trying out, as it has cool art and some really good plays Vs most decks, as opponents can find themselves back to the wall after a Swallow Sword combo or resilience of special summons with Unizombie and Mezuki. bare in mind that the deck will be receiving more support in the future, as a new addition, shiranui sage, was added to the deck only a little while ago. lets hope for another tuner or higher level shiranui to synchro summon Ikusagami via grave materials. Thanks for reading! Iceblade |

| how do you summon your fusion monsters with no instant fusion in the deck? Also, another neat monster to consider in the deck is dragonecro nethersoul dragon, which you can create using dragon's mirror and any 2 zombies. He's kinda MADE for shiranui |
