Xyz Encore
Quick-Play Spell
Target 1 face-up Xyz Monster your opponent controls that has Xyz Material; detach all Xyz Materials from it, and if you do, return it to the Extra Deck, then, if there is a Monster Card in the Graveyard among those detached Xyz Materials; Special Summon as many of those monsters as possible from the Graveyard to your opponent's side of the field in face-up Defense Position. Their Levels are reduced by 1 on the field. Cards and effects cannot be activated in response to this card's activation.


A lot of text, but here’s the breakdown.

-Quick-Play Spell, targets 1 enemy Xyz Monster with at least 1 Material.

-Detaches all remaining Materials and returns the Xyz Monster to the Extra Deck.

-Summons as many of the detached Materials that were monsters as possible to your opponent’s side of the field in Defense Position, but with their Levels reduced by 1.

-Cannot be responded to in any way.

It may seem like Compulsory Lite, but Xyz Encore offers a lot of things that Compulsory doesn’t.  First, you can set it like Compulsory if you want, but you don’t have to. You can play it straight from your hand, making it a better topdeck and a more surprising card when you want to be aggressive.

Xyz Encore’s the kind of card I see being very good in specific scenarios, and well deserving of side deck slots. If Evolzar Laggia ever resurfaces, it’s just another way of removing it without needing to worry about possible complications. Even Constellars are seeing a lot of hype right in this format, so having another way to deal with Constellar Pleiades can’t be too bad. I plan to do quite a bit with this card now and in the future because it’s so unique; I think it’s just another option that you should always keep in mind. Where do you think Xyz Encore could shine?

The answer is simple! Ophion turns pale when seeing this card and Pandemic is useless, facing Dragon Rulers and send Drago-Sack or Big Eye back and leave the player with 1 or 2 level 6's on the field.  Eradicator or DDV??? With Xyz Encore you can just stop that cold. During your Draw Phase you can retain turn player priority and choose to activate Xyz Encore as soon as you possibly can, eliminating that Number 11: Big Eye or Evilswarm Ophion that your opponent was relying on as Tribute for Eradicator.  That buys you a turn to eliminate the set Eradicator, or create a defense that will make activating Eradicator impossible.
